Happy Anniversary to the Life Bridges Support Group! 

In June of 2000, the Life Bridges Support Group held its first meeting and began to offer weekly support to individuals who experienced injury to the body, psyche or some type of shock, violence or unanticipated situation.  This year makes 10 years that the group has offered support and encouragement to individuals over 18 with these trauma histories.  If you or someone you know could benefit from this group, you are invited to attend.  The group meets every Thursday afternoon from 2:45 to 4:15pm and Thursday evenings at 6:15 to 7:45.  This group is open to the public.  For more information, please call the MHA at (585) 344-2611.

Upcoming Trainings and Workshops:

Thursday and Friday, September 23rd & 24th~SSI & SSDI Benefits Training-Myths, Tips, Tricks & How to Make It Work.  Presented by John Allen, Special Assistant to the Commissioner, NYS Office of Mental Health.  This training will be held at Genesee Community College, is free and open to the public.  Click here for more info. 

Wednesday, October 27th-Bright Futures- A workshop where women of all ages can improve their emotional wellness by learning to appreciate themselves, finding their balance and purpose, and connecting with others. This workshop will be held at the Mental Health Association in Genesee County, is free and open to the public.  Must pre-register~Space is limited.  Click here for more info.

The MHA also offers Tools For Recovery trainings and workshops including:  Growing Beyond Survival, Wellness Self Management, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).  For more info click here.
